Will be held in the historic El Cortez "Don Room" in San Diego, CA. This beautiful octagonal room will be not only the reception site, but will be where we exchange vows. Rather than opting for a traditional seating arrangement, we have decided to have our ceremony in the middle of the room, and our family and friends encircling us. We feel that this will allow the cremony to be more intimate and for everyone to really feel as though they are a part of the event instead of sitting in the last row, looking at the back of someone's head.
Because the location is in downtown San Diego, parking proves to be a bit difficult. There is some on street parking, however we have negotiated for parking just across the street at the Holiday Inn Express at 1430 Seventh Ave, San Diego, CA 9210. Cost for parking will be $6 per car. We found this to be a great rate considering the average price for parking in Downtown San Diego these days.
Once the ceremony is complete, appetizers and cocktails will be offered on the expansive terrace, where you can enjoy the outdoor fireplace and the outdoor downtown atmposphere. During this time, the "Don Room" will be converted into the reception, dinner, and PARTY location!!
We have booked what we feel to be THE BEST DJ in San Diego!! Mic from Elite British DJ, is loads of fun, and has a great selection of diverse music from old school rap, to Depeche Mode, to Frank Sinatra, to Donna Summer. If you know Jesse and I, we like our music, we like to dance!
