Shortly after we started dating we both found a similar interest in adventure and travel. Of course, our motorcycles, the love of the open highway and the various sights and shared experiences along the way became a large part of our lives. Our first tour to Moab, Utah became the very crucible that forged the bond between us and the adventures continue. However, the adventures weren't just limited to two wheel excursions. We found many other adventures during our time together from simple home improvements and experimental cuisine to the desire to travel to far off lands to experience other cultures and meet exciting new people. Since we are a bit older than most new couples, we also have a large circle of friends and aquaintences that have blended quite well creating a larger and more dynamic lifestyle for everyone involved. We feel that our wedding is a great achievement towards building a lasting relationship that will continue long into the future of this world. Our connection with The annual Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. Pieter has been the San Diego DGR organizer since 2013. Katie was a participant in the 2014 ride when they met. Katie joined the DGR organizing committee for the 2015 ride and they became good friends that shared a great deal of common interests and a connection that has strengthened a great deal over the past few years. They became a romantic couple at the end of 2015. They are very fortunate to be part of this wonderful charity event each year so we have chosen to include their wedding with the 2017 San Diego Distinguished Gentleman's Ride. Participation in the ride is optional for their wedding guests.

The wedding will take place at the conclusion of the San Diego Distinguished Gentleman's Ride located at AleSmith Brewing, 9990 AleSmith Ct, San Diego, CA 92126. The ceremony will begin at 3:00pm. Distinguished attire is requested.
